In the past, Kazimierz was a separate city until 1800. Now it’s an open air museum during the day and the night life district during the evening. The most interesting part of its old architecture is the Jewish Quarter where Jews lived from 14th century until the Second World War. It’s one of the most unique places as it was not destroyed by the Nazis and still has 7 synagogues and the original buildings. Since 1978 Kazimierz has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

During the tour we will talk about the history of the Jewish community, famous people that lived there and explore places where Schindler’s List was filmed. A big part of the tour will concern Holocaust of Kraków’s Jews and the former Nazi ghetto.
